Will this video card run World of Warcraft?

Graphics Chipset: Radeon® Xpress 200M SRS TruSurround XT virtual surround sound

and SRS WOW stereo enhancements; S-video out

Graphics Memory: 64 - 128MB Shared Memory

... Those are the specs on a laptop I am considering buying..

I don't have a lot of $$ to work with, and all of the other specs are good enough to run it, but I don't know much about video cards...

WoW requires : 32MB 3D graphics card with Hardware Transform and Lighting, such as NVIDIA GeForce 2 class card or above.

.. if the default card won't run WoW, how much $$ would it cost to get one that would (for a notebook PC)?

Althought I would max both the main RAM as well as the ram in the graphics card out. WoW using alot of memory. Also when playing this game on a laptop its a good idea to use a laptop cooler. you knwo the ones that the lappy would sit on. even the walmard $20 special would work. I bought there targus one cheap as usefull til you get a better one. Games like WoW creates a lot of heat as it puts loads on both the CPU and the GPU. Have fun :) I've heard that some people get addicted to this game. not me I olost interest real quick. Im more of a Quake or Rainbow Six fanh and if its possible go to the manufacturer of the graphics card and download/install the latest drivers for your cards.|||It would run, but not how you would like it to at all. A decent desktop graphics card is about 100$, I'm not sure about laptop but it's probably around the same price.|||That shoudl work yeah, WoW doesn't take all that much. However, you should be ware few, if any games at all will provide support for their product if your using it on a laptop.



Also, good luck finding a GPU for a laptop, that is built into the motherboard and can not be removed or changed. There is a product on teh horizon that will be essentially an external GPU box for laptops, but your laptop would need to support this technology and it is not out yet.|||its a waste of money to me if you buy game with those specs go to this site.
